I was able to upload my audiogram quickly with the help of their excellent Customer Service. The app allows the user to tweak the settings as needed. You can easily switch modes either in the app or on the hearing aid. Once you have your settings loaded, you do not need to connect to your smart phone. However, I am hopeful that there will be s software upgrade soon to utilize more Bluetooth features. I love the rechargeable battery case. I have worked professionally with public speakers for nearly 40 years on conventions, political rallies and meetings of all sorts. During that time I have listened to the presenters on monitors provided by the best audio technicians in the meeting and convention business. I know what good audio sounds like. The BlaidsX Pro BTE were the hearing aids I selected to try, and they have gone beyond my expectations. The sound quality is spot on. The directional source of sound is precise. I chose the replaceable battery model because of my experience with professional sound technicians and their preferred use of batteries. I get six days from the batteries, and have two batteries always nearby so I don't miss a sound. At current prices I figure about $25.00 a year for batteries. The fact is this review should have been written weeks ago, but I've been too busy listening. The quality takes you by surprise. It sounds natural, not amplified, which is the goal of professional audio reinforcement. Since I do a fair amount of public speaking, I was delighted that I sounded like I always have to myself and to others. The television volume has been turned up for several years. With these aids the volume is turned way down. That did create a curious issue. Being used to loud TV, the notion that the volume should be increased was an early reaction, but every word was clear, so with some change of habit, the sound remains much lower. The various settings for different conditions are very helpful, especially "Indoor" for noisy restaurants, and "outdoor" for noisy stadiums. I've used both and could hold a conversation with someone three or four people separated from me. The noise cancellation is terrific. I live in a big city so there was some difficulty using app's hearing test. The first was interrupted by Mister Softee, a few others by loud car radios or just plain loud cars. On a visit to friends in a rural area I got the quiet I needed to get the best test. Other things which may concern you. Great technical support, literally 24/7. I wear glasses, these are relatively small and don't cause a problem with glasses. If vanity is a concern for you, these are not likely to be noticed by very many people. The price is outstanding. They come nicely packaged. It would have been helpful for some help in how to choose the piece that goes in your ear (there are 5 ends included) especially for first-timers like me, but I settled quickly on the ones I have stuck with. Now why the title for this review. It goes back to the familiar saying, "Happy wife, happy life." For several years my response to virtually everything my wife said was , "what"? That went away the moment I put on these hearing aids. This sound investment leads to a "happy life." If you're not hearing what you should, make a sound investment and get Blaids today.

The selling point for me was the app Acosound. It allows a self test and adjust which worked well. But the app allows all kinds of fine tuning, and I was able to tweak the hearing aids a bit to fit my personal needs. Now the not so good: 1. The app had difficulty pairing to both the hearing aids at the same time. It usually takes 2-3 attempts with the app near to the head. But is does connect. And it does do the job, but don't expect using the app to quickly change volume or mode. (I tend to use the volume buttons on the hearing aids, if needed.) 2. For some odd reason they to do sell replacement rods for cleaning the tubes. I ended up buying 0.5mm fishing line. 3. Put some bright tape on the end of the cleaning rods. The little rods get misplaced easily. Overall these are fine hearing aids and highly recommended. And now my wife's ears do not bleed anymore when we watch TV.

I loaded the settings from my audiologist, and have since tuned them a bit to get the results I prefer. It's had to believe that something this small and discreet can make such a change in my life. I don't generally review products, but I had to with this case. I purchased a hearing aid from this company two months ago and I really enjoyed using it. You cannot beat this product. It performs a hearing test and sets the level according to the sounds, you cannot hear, however after two months, the product no longer functioned, so I called customer service. The service department picked up immediately and within two minutes they had resolved my issue and replaced it without any fuss. I wish all companies had customer service like that!

The quality of these is quite comparable to the most expensive units. The programmability was the main reason I wanted to try these; I've used many many EQ units over 40 years of music and recording, I *know* what things are supposed to sound like and how to adjust setting to get them there. Being able to reach someone at the company, who either knows or can find the answer when you have a question is very nice. This has been a great purchase. The unit works very well and having it controlled by the phone is a real plus. The only thing is to get into the habit of actually wearing it. The company is has excellent customer service.

Bought a pair of aids, both worked fine for about 2 weeks.Then one had problems (volume control).Contacted Blaids, got a real person, had new aid in a couple of days...then returned bad aidin prepaid package.Have a ski slope loss, normal hearing till about 2 khz, drops to about 70 to 80 db at 3 khz.Have used other aids (costco), seems that it is typical that they kind of give up after 3 to 4khz, these blaids seem to be as good as the costco aids.Like the ability to enter audiogram to set aids.

As a new hearing aid user I tried the expensive name brand and really liked them, but couldn't afford several thousand dollars at this time. After searching several different brands of OTC aids I chose the Blaids brand for several reasons. Primarily I wanted to be able to set up and adjust the different frequency responses myself. I am not a fan of one size fits all when it comes to something this personal. Secondly, I liked the reviews on these. The customer service reports are impressive. I called with a problem and was treated well. The agent tried to work through a problem but the first unit was defective. So, I sent it in and got a replacement with no problems. I am very happy with my new unit(s). And look forward to hearing better from now on. Sound quality is very good. I don't have a couple of the features that the expensive aids had, but for the price difference I am okay with that. (No streaming music or phone calls.) I don't know about other competitors in this price range, but if or when these wear out I'll probably get the same ones again. The four stars on battery life and comfort are likely not a fault with this brand any more than with any others. I prefer replaceable batteries because eventually rechargeable batteries quit working.

I was concerned when I got a hearing test that disclosed moderate hearing loss. The quoted cost for hearing aids (5k) was a put off. A friend recommended Blaides, and for the cost, I was willing to take a step into the unknown. Wow. My daughter in law has severe hearing loss and has been using various hearing aids for years. She's so impressed with not only the hearing aids themselves but the customer service and support that are behind them. So am I, but I had no basis for comparison. I am pleased and feel like I am more myself. For those who are hesitant to use hearing aids, you will not regret taking care of your hearing. You may have no idea how numb you are becoming to the world, or how dull it has become. And you may not be aware how much you are missing in social settings, or how annoying you are becoming to others who constantly have to repeat things. And you will certainly not regret buying these. Not only could I use my audigram test previously done by a professional to set the parameters, I could have used Blaides' program to check my hearing. An audiologist with the company is available, there are presets for various environments, and I easily customized my experience. As far a look is concerned, people don't even notice them, and neither do I. And don't be put off my the fact you can't recharge. Batteries are cheap, and you will never be tied to a yet ANOTHER charger (cellphone, smart watch...) And I don't care that the hearing aids don't double as earbuds (which I understand can be a pain depending on your phone, continuous upgrades on your phone, etc) Anyone who wants to pay thousands for that can. And I wouldn't be surprised that that becomes a feature down the road. At this price, upgrading as technology advances remains in reach. If you pay 5k for another brand you can rapidly fall behind because upgrading will be prohibitive. So, attractive, effective, and well supported. What are you waiting for?

Contacted them because I was having problems with the Bluetooth connection to do the hearing test. Emet determined that the Bluetooth connection was too weak and quickly sent me a new pair. New pair worked perfectly and I was able to upload the audiogram that I created using their App. Also, it was very easy to contact them. No waiting on the phone. Immediate response. Mahalo, Edwin

I waited till OTC hearing aids became available on the market and shopped among all options I could find for this terrific device. It's programmable by an app on your phone so no need for in office visits. It's a fraction of the cost of previous units I've bought with comparable results. I tried Sony and Jabra and find the Blaids device to be far superior. I particularly like how I can upload my audiogram from my own doctor. The others don't have enough options to program. I'm an engineer and like to do these things myself. Blaids was the only hearing aid I found that allows for me to have complete control of my adjustments in the mobile app.

Great way to go if one needs aid in the auditory department as I do. I wasted money going to an audiologist through my healthcare provider and could not at all afford what they were pushing on me at all as my health insurance only partially covered the testing, let alone the 2700$ hearing aids. The AcoSound Android app results are almost identical to the audiology lab results, and they are highly customizable through the app to get to what one prefers. Do have to mention that I couldn't get the app to run properly on my Motorola G-Pure phone, could be just the phone, but is flawless on my Samsung pad.Better than the ones I sampled at the doctor. Game changer for me and recommended.

I've known for years I had hearing loss in both of my ears.  Lots of concerts, firearms use, and being around heavy machinery when I was young.  I took several online hearing tests and finally decided to do something about it.  I purchased the BlaidsX Pro because of price and feature set that was unrivaled anywhere else.  After they arrived I did the self test and started using them. I had no issues connecting to the devices with bluetooth as some other reviews have mentioned. I assume they didn't "air out" their batteries. After using the BlaidsX Pro for a month I decided to get hearing test from an Audiologist. I was pleased to see that the Acosound test and the Professional tests results were very close. The Professional test showed I had more hearing loss then the BlaidsX Pro test detected. After uploading the new audiogram, I could almost immediately tell a difference. Where before I would switch to TV mode or turn up the volume, I found I no longer had to. At a dinner party I was able to converse with people without asking them to constantly repeat themselves or doing the smile and nod like I understood them.I would absolutely recommend these for someone with mild to moderate hearing loss.

I waited three weeks to send this review because it first. I had an issue with a broken battery door, but within two days they had a new set of hearing aids out to me with the trust that I would send the original pair back. "I sense have!". Brian did a great job and walking me through this and then realized that I was entitled to a veteran discount and then I unnecessarily purchased a service agreement which he said was not really necessary because there program would cover it. I bought this set as a backup pair for my VA supplied hearing aids, which are currently being repaired but like anything it takes time and I could not afford to be without a set. Brian is taken care of all the issues I've had with I also have some physical disabilities, making it hard to put the He Took Care Of That! I Highly Recommend the Company and the Product Appears to Be Outstanding and I have had Hearing Aids for 25 Years.

Ugh, well I'm 52 years old and have had hearing problems my whole life. I finally spared those around me, went to an ear, nose, & throat doctor, got a hearing test and was told I lost most all hearing in my left ear. I scheduled a consultation with a nationally known hearing aid center only to find that my premium medical insurance would not cover the cost, not one penny of the cost of a hearing aid. I was quoted $5K for two hearing aids! I felt like I only need one, but still that's $2500 out of pocket. I read numerous hearing aid descriptions online and on Amazon and ordered the Blaids Pro and have to say I'm highly impressed. Fits well, my hearing is highly improved, and cost a fraction of the one I was quoted. Great value and more importantly, it works great!

I bought just the left ear due to my hearing loss in just my left ear. I have to say these are amazing hearing aids. I tried hearing amplifiers and they are not great at all with my hearing loss. The sound quality of these is really great it surprised me how great they were. The only issue I have is not with the hearing aid but with the app. The app disconnects a lot, but when it works fine it's great. I would recommend and will buy another one from this company when this one goes bad.

They provide clarity in increasing hearing capability and provide Excellent customer service when programming help is needed to initially setup hearing aids. Brian was knowledgeable and very nice.

I spent about $4,000. on hearing aids 4 years ago, & with their current coupon, $600.00, on the Blaids-same high quality sound & features. Don't be fooled by the low-cost ear bud amplifiers, advertised as hearing aids. Their is no comparison in true value. I called Blaid's help line before ordering, & had all my questions/doubts answered. I also watched several hours of YouTube videos by various audiologists to get up to speed on the latest hearing aid advancements, & spoke with several of the low costs ear bud vendors. I am so glad I spent a few dollars more for real hearing aids.

The sound quality is beyond my expectations.

I have had these for a few months now and they work fantastic. My hearing drops off after 2k and and these have made a very noticeable improvement. Some voices that I have heard from years actually sound different. Overall seem to be durable and I replace the batteries about twice a week.

They worked for me I have been looking for hearing aid I could set my own setting, BlaidsX Pro is the one for me. The use of AcoSound app make easy setting up, doing hearing test is easy on the BlaidsX Pro. The sound is fantastic I just can't tell if wearing it. I got then when Amazon first introduced August 2022. Very satisfied with my purchase. I called customer service to get new 2b ear tube and got excellent service they are 5-star company.

I would recommend these hearing aids to anyone needing them. Programmable with the hearing test included in the app or I put in my mom's hearing test numbers from UCHealth audiologist results. TheSound quality is exceptional. My mom does not hear muffles and echoes as with previous devices. Thecomfort is outstanding as she does not know they're in. Thevalue for the money is noticed because what the audiologist offered were in the two thousand dollar range!Customer support is also exceptional because they answered! I had a question about the tubing length and they are sending more tubes for free - very impressive!

I am 90 years old. Instead of buying another expensive Widex, after extensive research on Amazon, purchased the Blaidsx Pro which was duly delivered to my home. First important pro: No expensive visits to audiologist, no taxi fares etc. Downloaded the free app, did audiotest with this app, put hearing aid in my ear (needed only one because other ear is deaf) and had the best audio experience in many years! I could even fine tune the bass. Apart from best hearing, another pro: first hearing aid so slim and lightweight that it did not interfere with my glasses (always a problem). In fact, it is so unobtrusive that on several occasions I forgot to take it out when going to sleep! Not only is it invisible, but also unfeelable. I'm not a regular review writer, but I have to share my enthousiasm.

I lost my fancy left $2500 hearing aid somewhere along 89 S. or 91 N, when it popped out of my ear. The expensive hearing aid was a nationally recognized brand out of warranty, and with a customer service department that treated me like dirt. The lost hearing aid had fancy cellular tracking on a map, but the battery died, and I couldn't find the darn thing. I needed a fast solution for a left hearing aid, since my current insurance didn't pay for hearing aids it needed to be affordable! So I looked on Amazon and found Blaids.The Blaids hearing aid (left ear) was much better than the expensive hospital hearing aid (right ear) for me in that I can put in a current audiogram I take at home using the app. My hearing changes on a biweekly cycle and renders my expensive hearing aid (right ear) as mediocre half the time! The expensive industry hearing aids also required a Hospital audiogram, and a doctors visit, and a second visit to an audiologist just to make an adjustment. This cost hundreds of dollars whenever I need it to make an adjustment, and took months to plan. This was not the case with the Blaids hearing aid! It was the opposite!It is amazing to have a hearing aid that I can program and adjust frequently in the comfort of my own home, in real time, without breaking the bank! At something like one eighth of the cost of the industry hearing aid, they were substantially better than I anticipated! The company keeps improving, the quality of the features like adjustable volume of its beeping , and a pallet of personalization options, in addition to having four professionally organized modes for general use, outdoors, indoors and TV. It is comfortable and effective, and I would definitely buy it again.A great bonus of Blaids, is that a live human, Brian, picked up the phone. Unlike most corporations, Blaids didn't waste my time on annoying phone trees, and robots that don't understand anything I say. Brian knows the product and answered all of my questions.I did not find the quality of the sound of Blaids to be equal to the super expensive hearing aid that I list (eight times the cost), but it was pretty darn good, and better with all the advantages of being adjustable and programmable, and with a friendly customer service to help. This product was a really good option for me, and exceeded my expectations in many ways. I would definitely buy this product, from this company, again in a heartbeat.

I will give a full review after the promised updated app is available. The update is supposed to stop the painful extremely loud beeps when changing modes. When is the release of the new app?UPDATE: the new app release has fixed the loud beep when you change the mode.I find my batteries do not last very long. Is this because I use the app a lot to adjust them?

I had a technical issue with the app on my particular phone. I called Customer Service, and their rep was very knowledgeable and resolved the issue quickly.The hearing aids themselves are excellent for behind-the-ear devices. I was able to use the hearing test option in the app to determine my hearing loss at specific frequencies, and then upload the cutomized results to the hearing aids over bluetooth. One of the sound tubes was a little short for my ear. The larger size sound tube was included in the package -- it was fairly easy to change out.The app itself has an option to set any one of four operation modes, such as outdoor, indoor, etc. I thought the beep confirmation when changing modes was too loud, and I brought this up with the Tech Support rep. He confirmed the issue and put in a software update request. This issue is not a deal killer but it's a little annoying -- they will put the fix in a future release. I must say it is very rare to find a company that provides individual, knowledgeable support and actually listens to their customers. (It's a hearing aid company, after all 😉 So I'm happy.

I decided to try these when my Costco hearing aids went in for repair, (again!). Thankfully, these are affordable now that OTC hearing aids are available. After fiddling around on my own I called the help line and the support was immediate and very helpful. Long story short, I believe these are great if you download the free app and take the built in auditory test. Once they are set, I doubt that you'll use the app much. I should mention that I like my so much that I ordered a pair for my 82 yr old dad.Quick update: Mine needed some tweaking and support was very quick to reply and very helpful. If the app test doesn't get it exactly right, call them up and I'd bet they will know what to do.

I only need one hearing aid. It is very comfortable and I can hear so much better. I find I turn the TV volume down instead of up. Excellent customer service, which is rare nowadays. I am so glad I purchased this, makes my life much easier. It's a good price also. The audio test was very easy to take, just using phone and hearing aid. Thank you.

Given the costs associated with getting prescription hearing aids, I decided to try these out. Thus far, I’m very pleased. They are small enough that they are not noticeable (I purchased the beige). They don’t just amplify like in-ear versions (I also have Eargos, for example, that simply do that) — they address specific problems like muffled voices, too loud sounds and background noise. They are very comfortable — I hardly notice I’m wearing them. They come with batteries and multiple ear domes to fit your needs. Customer service has been very responsive. So far, so good. Would recommend.

I have been using a pair of "in-the-canal" type hearing aids for at least 20 years. I paid $3500 for them back then! They have been going bad on a regular basis lately and I have been paying $250 every time my Audiologist sent one back to the factory for repair. My Audiologist wanted to sell me a new set of the behind-the-ear type at $5000-$6000!I finally decided it was time to research what is available online. After a LOT of research I decided on the BlaidsX-Pro. I was very hesitant, not believing that a company could sell quality hearing aids for that price! The other company only offered a 90-day replacement warranty. Blaids gave me a 2-year replacement warranty! I'm definitely a happy camper!!!! 🙂

I have used a pair of Blaidsx pro hearing devices for several days under varying conditions. These are excellent devices with a wide range of customization available through the app (iOS for me). I am especially impressed with the fine tuning available in the app. Your own audiogram can be easily input and if you don’t like the results, others can be easily input. These are technologically advanced units. Firmware updates are done wirelessly. I don’t know how they can sell for the price as these are worth far more. Thank you Blaids for such a great product.

Since I was unable to afford the cost of conventional hearing aid costing USD 5000, I decide to try this one. It is very good and as adjustable as needed for volume control. Now, I can hear the voices of my family, my dogs and the birds more clearly. Watching television has greatly improved. Volume on the TV went from a 35 down to a 20-22 on the volume control. These are great so far, very happy to hear things I’ve been missing!

I have lost over 50% of my hearing , for years i always have to ask people to repeat everything 2-3 times and most the time i still don't hear what was said . I was tested by an Otolaryngologist and was told I need surgery , they need to rebuild a tiny bone in my ear drum. Or buy a hearing aid which would of cost me what i can't afford ! I have tried many store bought hearing aids and couldn't wear them for more then 5 minutes , waste of money !!! I decided to order Blaids Hearing Aid for my left ear, I can finally hear and I will be ordering the right ear now that i know how amazing it is !!

I struggled with my hearing for years. I went to an ENT 10 years ago but the cheapest model he had was over $4,000. I delayed getting hearing aids for that reason and couldnt be happer to have found Blaids. I paid under $1,000 for my Blaids and the sound quality is far better than the $4,000 hearing aids I tested at Costco. Blaids has drastically improved my quality of life and so happy to be able to hear my sons again!

The Blaids specialists were so pleasant! They took the time to do my test over Zoom and configure the hearing aids to my own audiogram. I didnt even have to leave my house.
